The Law School Admissions Test, abbreviated LSAT, is the entrance exam required by all ABA-approved law schools. There is a 15 minutes break between section 2 and section 3.

The duration of the exam is 155 minutes include break time.
An admission committee will consider an applicant only if he has a score of at least 165 out of 180. Law studies require three years of non-stop hard work, with lots of legal research. The first year is also known as the toughest, since there are great chances of elimination for non-dedicated students.
Tips to prepare for LSAT exam:
1. To crack LSAT exam successfully, one needs fine preparation. Applicants can solve sample question papers to get an actual idea about the format of LSAT test. LSAT sample papers would also help you to know which types of questions are usually asked in the test.
2. You can read various books prescribed by the LSAC. Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) provides you ample test preparation publications and law school guides, which are mentioned in its official website.
3. You can also do preparation course through online, for LSAT test. Some of the universities also conduct special classes to prepare students for the entrance exam. They usually hold a practice test, on the basis of relative material, which needs to be answered within certain time limit. It would be better for you to prepare section by section of the test, because it can certainly help you in focusing on every aspect of each section.
4. Make sure that you are confident with the answer then attempt all the questions. Otherwise, do not attempt all the questions. Since, there is a negative mark for incorrect answers.
5. All of the questions on the LSAT exam are worth equal value, so a students must struggle doing easier questions first.
6. Make strategies for each section of LSAT exam i.e. logical reasoning, reading comprehension and analytical reasoning.
7. Writing a LSAT essay is different from other kinds of essays. This is because law school entrance essay has to determine the admission for the law course. The essay must be written in such a way to create an impact in the minds of admission officer.
8. You should practice at reading passages of about 5-6 paragraphs in length. Practice in outlining the structure, identifying the purpose, and themes. You will need to absorb dense material and outline in a mater of 3-4 minutes. Otherwise you spend too much time on one passage, you run out of time.
9. LSAT exams for law school tests your ability to spot holes in logical arguments. Thus, you also need to be skilled at identifying an arguments Premise(s) and conclusion. You also need to be skilled at strengthening and weakening any statement’s conclusion.
10. Try to manage your time on the LSAT exam test day and don’t forget to keep all the required documents that will be asked to show at the test center.
