Mattancherry Synagogue or Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active Synagogue in India. This Cochin Jewish Synagogue was built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudan people or Cochin Jewish community. This Dutch synagogue is located adjacent to the Mattancherry Palace Temple in the quarter of Old Cochin known as Jew Town in Kochi, Kerala. Paradesi Synagogue in Mattancherry consists of four building and features a Deepa Sthambha situated outside the main place of worship. The main building features a 45-foot-tall clock tower.

Thekkumbhagom Synagogue is another Cochin synagogue which is situated on Jews Street in Ernakulam, Kerala. This synagogue was built in 1580 and later renovated in 1939.
