Educate Girls is holistically tackling issues at the root cause of gender inequality in India’s education system. Our compréhensive model reforms government schools through community ownership and reaches 100% enrollment, higher attendance and improved learning outcomes for all girls. Founded in 2007, the non-governmental organization has a management and outreach office in Mumbai and operations in Pali, Jalore, Sirohi, Ajmer Bundi and Rajsamand in Rajasthan. We are in search of an Impact Officer to join our team at the earliest possible date at our District office, Rajasthan.

JOB PROFILE:

Main Mission: To track the progress of the Project on the basis of main indicators. To collect and analyse the data required for monitoring and evaluation purpose.

Duties:

To identify, collect, organize, analyse and disseminate monitoring and evaluation information on key indicators from the community, schools and other stakeholders for enhancement of the program.
To conduct day to day research activities within the overall agreed research programme.
To prepare, set up, conduct & record the outcome of field work.
To collect data from treatment and control groups for evaluation purpose.
To write independent research results and reports them.
To prepare reports as required by the M&E Manager and management.
To coordinate and guide the team of researchers in the field.
To enter & analyse data by using excel, SPSS and other software.
To review & synthesise existing research literature within the field of education in rural area of Rajasthan.
To set up monitoring tools and reporting to ensure the reliability of project data collected.
To keep oneself updated of knowledge and understanding.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Create and guide monitoring and evaluation planning in the district.
Collect, enter, analyze the data and write monitoring and evaluation report.
Responsible for primary and secondary data collection and research activities in the district.
Provide technical advice and inputs in the field of monitoring and evaluation.

CONSTRAINTS:

Field work - Many trips to remote rural areas for data collection and monitoring. Many times, long working hours to achieve goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENT:

Experience & Qualification:

MA in Economics/Sociology/Social Sciences or any related subject
At least 3 years of experience in data processing, analysis and report writing
M&E design experience
Training, facilitation and communication skills
Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities, social, cultural constraints and realities
Solid understanding of rural development, with a focus on participatory processes, joint management, and gender issues
Computer knowledge & practical use of computers required for documentation & analysis

Required skills for the job:

Knowledge of M&E Research methods and approaches, including quantitative, qualitative and participatory
Knowledge of statistics and analysis tools
Use of MS- Office/ Excel/Access
