Tharuni is a NGO working for the Welfare of Girls & Women since thirteen years (www.tharuni.org) in the State of Andhra Pradesh. We could bring together 12,000 Adolescent Girls by facilitating more than 500 'Girl Child Clubs' (Balika Sanghas). We could bring focus on Social problems like Child Marriages, Infanticide/Foeticide, Trafficking & Child Labour and could give new life to hundreds of girls. Tharuni initiated an innovative 'SMS' Mobile Helpline 'THARUNOPAYAM' (9000243000) for reaching the girls.
Tharuni has experience and expertise in training Girl children on various issues like Nutrition, Hygiene, Reproductive Health, Sexuality Education, Life Skills & Soft Skills, Child Rights, Girl Child Protection (like Bad Touch & Good Touch), Helpline information, Child related Laws, Girl Child related issues like Child Marriages, Child Labour, Human Trafficking, Infanticide/Foeticide, etc We have successfully trained thousands of girls in the District Warangal and developed Modules, Flip Books, Hand & Pocket Books for girls on the above issues. We have umpteen success stories how the girls got benefited with these trainings and developed in to 'Complete Women' and 'better Citizens'.
Tharuni is now planning to scale up these training to the entire State. Tharuni has joined with 'DHI' - a training organization, to take up this innovative step to train Lady Volunteers for training more girl children on these issues. These volunteers will have attend the training workshops which are in the mode of Activity & group work with on-hand training with girls. They will be given support by our Expert Team even while training being given to girls by the volunteers. They can be part of our 'Tharuni Seva' Program and be involved in various activities for helping the girls and young women.

Venue for the training:
Begumpet Govt Degree College, Opp HPS begumpet, Hyderabad.
Timings: 9am to 2pm. (Lunch is provided)
Number of days: 5 days
Dates of program: (Only on Sundays) 10th, 17th, 24th, November, 1st & 8th December 2013. (We can also discuss about the dates for others. These dates are according to the convenience for the employees.)
Fees: 1500/- for 5 modules.
(The fee is reduced as per the request of the volunteers and the participants from NGO’s.)
Fee can be paid through Cash / Cheque (in the name of 'THARUNI') / DD.
