Khecheopalri Lake is located at a distance of 24 km from Pemayangtse in Sikkim.
Khecheopalri Lake is also known as the wishing lake. This unusually tranquil Khecheopalri Lake Sikkim is surrounded by blooming forest and is considered as one of the sacred lakes of Sikkim both by the Buddhist and the Hindus. Hence, no water sport or other activities besides prayers are allowed around the lake. It is believed that birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the Khecheopalri Lake surface. The surrounding of the lake is an ideal place to find the Lepcha Houses and their communities.
