About Peermade
Peermade is situated about 85 km east of Kottayam, Kerala, India. Peermade means "Hill of the Peer", it is named after Peer Mohammed, the Sufi Saint. The main attraction of this place are waterfalls, open grass lands and pine forests. The specility of this place is organic spices, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, white pepper, nutmeg, mace, turmeric, ginger, vanilla beans, vanilla powder and herbal spices like oregano, sage, thyme and rosemary are grown here. Coffee, Tea and coconut are also planted here.
