Coonoor is a hill station in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India at an altitude of 4,928 feet and is known for its Nilgiri tea production. The people of Coonoor entirely depend on the tea trade. Tea leaves are picked, processed and packaged in bulk in local factories for sale in Coonoor, Cochin and Coimbatore.
