About Rauja Sharif
The Rauza Sharif is a mausoleum which memorializes the burial place of Sheikh Ahmed Farooqi, popularly known as Mujaddid, Alf-Isfani, who lived during the reigns of Akbar and Jahangir from 1563 to 1634. Rauza Sharif is situated on Sirhind-Bassi Pathana Road, near Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib. Some Muslim sects place it next only to the Mecca in reverence. A great Urs is celebrated every year and thousands of pilgrims from various parts of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and other Muslim countries visit this place to participate in the celebrations.
