Fully Loaded ‘A Tab’ Priced At R 5000 Only !



New Delhi: After the launch of BSNL tablets in the low-cost range, another android tablet priced at Rs 5,000 will hit the markets in the second week of March. This will enable the students to choose from a wide range.


The latest tablet ATab is being launched by an International education company AcrossWorld along with Delhi-based Go-Tech.
The ATab is an Android tablet, sporting a 7-inch, advanced touchscreen display and will cost Rs. 5,000. Some other features of the ATab include, 1.1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 2GB inbuilt memory expandable up to 16 GB, Wi-Fi and an external 3G USB Dongle.
It will have a three-year free access to education technology platform ‘EducationBridge’ that allows academic institutions, teachers and students to use a variety of content and educational resources through software called open source.
However, the tablet is not as cheap as Aakash, launched by the government for Rs 1,700.
The chief executive of AcrossWorld stated that the tablet will make a variety of resources available to Indian students. The tablet will provide world-class educational content at the fingertips of the students in India.
The company officials have revealed that about a dozen schools and colleges from various Indian cities including New Delhi, Kanpur, Allahabad, Rourkela and Gaujarala have indicated keen interest in the tablet.
