IBPS EXAM NOTIFICATION 2011

ABOUT IBPS:
IBPS (INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION)
is introducing the new way of banking exams in clerical cadre from 2011 year onwards. It is introducing online applications for recruitment in clerical cadre in 19 public sector banks from Indian citizens this is commonly known as COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION (CWE).The selection process for the IBPS is based on the written test results and performance in the interview. The people who are shortlisted in the interview they can attend for the any of the bank i.e. whose banks are supporting this examination (19 banks listed below).This marks card will be valid for 1Year.
So the people who are shortlisted in the interview panel they can able to attend with the provided scorecard with in the period only. Candidates may apply for this examination if they fulfill the eligibility criteria given by the IBPS.There is a separate reservation for SC/ST, OBC and Physically Challenged Persons. Candidates who belongs to SC/ST they can attend for pre-Training for written examination and as well as the interview, Providing by the Government without any cost.

Important dates to remember for the common written examination given below.
  • Starting date to fill Online application : 25-Aug-2011
  • Starting date of Application Fee payment : 24-Aug-2011 to 23-sep-2011
  • End date to fill Online Application Registration : 24-sep-2011
  • End date to Edit Application Details : 26-sep-2011
  • Downloading of Call letter for Written Examination : After 11-nov-2011
  • Date of Written Examination : 27-nov-2011
EXAMINATION PATTERN:
Examination pattern will be very easy compared to the previous pattern and easily you can score good marks. Total allocated time for the examination is 150minutes (2hrs30min).The examination pattern includes the below sessions

ELIGIBILITY CRITIREA (AS ON 01-JUN-2011):
Before applying for the examination Candidates need to be check the eligibility criteria specified by the IBPS.Please check the below mentioned eligibility criteria for the examination.
A) Nationality/Citizenship:
Applying candidates must belongs to either

1) Citizenship in India or
2) Subject to Nepal or
3) Subject to Bhutan or
4) A Person from Indian origin and who has to migrated from Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Vietnam and Zaire with their intension of permanently living in India
5) Tibetan person who came to India before 01-jan-1962 with permanently settling in the country(India) or
6) The candidates belongs to categories 2), 3), 4) and 5) mentioned in above should provide the certificate of eligibility that has been given by the indian Government
B) AGE(ON 01-JUN-2011):
Minimum age: 18 Years and Maximum age: 28 Years
(NOTE: The maximum age specified here is applicable to the Candidates who belong to General category).
Age Relaxation of Upper age limit:

6) Persons domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State Jammu & Kashmir 5Years During the period 01-jan-1980 to 31-dec-1989
C) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (ON 01-08-2011):
A Candidate has to score 60% of marks in Matriculation/SSLC/SSC/10TH Std. The examination pattern will be 10+2+3 or equivalent. For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM/OBC candidates needs to be pass in their Matriculation/SSLC/SSC/10TH Std. The examination pattern will be 10+2+3 or equal to the any degree
OR
A pass with 50% in HSC (Intermediate) examination/Pre-University/Diploma in Banking from recognized University
OR
A Degree from any recognized University or any equal qualification provided by the Central Government.
D) NEGATIVE MARKS FOR WRONG ANSWERS:
There will be a negative mark for the wrong answers marked in the objective test. For every wrong answers one Fourth or 0.25marks will be reduced
E) COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION(CWE) SCORE CARD:
IBPS issues the Score Cards for each of the qualifying candidates only and will send the same to their Corresponding address specified in his/her online application through the Registered/Speed Post
F) APPLICATION FEES:
For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM Candidate Rs. 50/-
All other Candidates Rs.350/-
Mode of Payment: You can pay the amount by using OFFLINE or ONLINE

G) DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF EXAMINATION:
- Call Letter
- Original fee payment receipt (fee payment challan/NEFT Receipt/e-receipt)
- Original photo identity proof (specified)
- Photocopy of photo identity proof
H) HOW TO APPLY:
