Sandya Biography

Sandhya is a South Indian actress renowned for her expressive face. Her real name is Revathy. She was born in Kerala in 1989, but brought up in Chennai. Her father was transferred to Chennai when she was two years old. Her father is a bank employee, while her mother is a beautician. Her brother is studying in SRM College, Chennai.

Sandya Filmography

Sandhya was an ordinary school going shy girl until Kaadhal in Tamil happened. She was studying in vidyodaya school and her father used to drop her and pick her up at school daily. She never had thoughts of acting in films before. She planned to do the Visual Communications course after her plus two. Her acting is really super.We can call her as Junior Kajol,sometimes we feel is it our Kajol?

After Kaadhal, which remarkably on her first film won her the best Filmfare South actress of 2004, she took up a Malayalam film titled Alice in Wonderland. Then came the super hit film Dishyum with Jeeva which she starred as a student in.

Her projects in the pipelines include a Malayalam film with Vineeth and the Silambarasan multi starrer, Vallavan. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai.
