In ancient times many foreign Emperors came on Indian land and settled down. The Mogul empires and European rulers ruled this country for long time. These outsiders did not just rule the country but also brought their culture and lifestyle with them. In middle of 20th century, India got freedom and established its own government. Although these rulers vanished from India, they left their footprints in form of monuments.
TAJ MAHAL : Initiating from north region of India, Taj Mahal, one of the top seven wonders of world, is most outstanding historical place located in Agra. The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built this astonishing building, in remembrance of his wife Mumtaj. This unique creature, built by 20,000 workers in 1630 AD, is made up of marble. This symbol of true love took 22 years to build up. Many foreign and local tourists visit this site every year.
KHAJURAHO TEMPLE : The one more attractive ancient place in India is Khajuraho Temple , dedicated to sexuality, are situated in northern Madhya Pradesh. These incomparable 20 temples confirm that the Kama Sutra commenced in India. These unique temples, from 10th and 11th century, are the only temples left over out of 85 temples constructed then. Temples are divided into 3 groups: Western, Eastern and Southern each posing their own specialty.
